Putting Our Faith Into Action!
At New Hope UMC, we believe in living out our faith through service. Our volunteers share the love of Christ by using their unique gifts and talents in mission programs, local outreach ministries, and efforts that respond to needs both near and far.
Over the years, members of our church family have had the opportunity to serve in a variety of places, including Tangier Island, Mississippi, Russia, Chile, and beyond. Through both short-term and long-term mission experiences, we have partnered with others through our district and conference to make a meaningful difference.

United Methodists have believed, from the beginning, that each of us is called to participate in the outreaching ministry of Jesus Christ. John Wesley called the early Methodists to live out their faith by “doing good of every possible sort, and, as far as possible, to all [people].”
Putting our faith into action is at the very heart of our Christian calling. By volunteering to serve through programs such as the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission or the Mission Volunteers program of The General Board of Global Ministries, every person in the church has the opportunity to serve and to live their calling more faithfully.
